This page is a brief overview of what I offer, and how you might best utilize my creative and technical knowledge, developed over my years of experience.
What I Offer
Photography
My photography covers the full experience of built spaces: concept through completion. Whether you need images documenting your process and progress, or images showcasing the precision and intention of your completed project, my approach is the same—tell a story through images.
I am flexible in how I approach each project. I am able to create images through collaboration with your marketing team, giving careful consideration to the final use, or I can take a less structured approach and “find” the images while on location.
Either way, using shape, texture, colour and light, I’ll seek to craft the best images available to me that day, staging furniture and other items as I go to translate your three-dimensional space compellingly into two dimensions.
Business.
Like most great things, it starts with an idea and a need. You have a project to document, or a specific campaign that needs imagery. Whether we create 1 image, or a gallery of 40, we start with a conversation.
Cost
The cost is variable, dictated by the complexity and specificity of the final image. Variables, like additional licensees, may affect the final pricing. My aim is always to have complete clarity on pricing before the first shutter click.
Usage & Licensing
We will discuss exclusivity of the images, along with embargo times to ensure comfort and understanding amongst the stakeholders in the project. There are many moving parts to using images commercially; I’m happy to work with you to best protect your business and maintain the relationships you work hard to create
Why commission me?
With over a decade of time in the construction industry, my interaction with buildings spans from carpentry to project management, and from marketing content creation to highly polished photography.
I’ve been hands-on with the tools for all stages of a build, witnessing the dedication that goes into turning an idea into a tangible reality.
Combining two decades of image making with a decade of building experience puts me in a unique position to confidently create images that reflect any stage of a project, from concept to completion..
Workflow
The day starts with checking in with, or creating a shot list. This ensures all the highlights are covered, and creates space for spontaneous creation as the project reveals itself.
Equipment
I own and operate multiple camera systems, drones and lenses including specialty tilt-shift lenses for perspective control.
Post-processing
I have extensive experience post-processing images. When I capture images on site, I do so with the expectation of post-processing. What you see on site is not the final deliverable.
I shy away from using generative AI tools, preferring to keep things honest to the space as I experienced it. That said, like all tools, there may be a time and place where the value proposition is too strong to avoid using generative AI. In those instances, we will discuss the pros and cons based on your specific use case.
